Bi-Annual Campout?

I had an idea and Casimir told me to mention it. I was thinking what if we had a once or twice a year camp out where Grimsword and maybe others (The Southlands, Thangorodrim, etc.) went to a state park or somewhere for a weekend. We'd camp and fight and rough it out in the woods like the olden days where men ate rocks and wiped themselves with pine cones. If nothing else I thought it would be a good opportunity to get everyone together.

Pine cones hurt, though! Poison Ivy, all the way.

once the weather starts to improve, i'm going to be talking to some of the camp grounds (hueco springs in particular) about hosting just this sort of thing...i figure it'd be easier for both ya'll and thangordrim to meet 'bout halfway...also, ameal and alterian and the boys from thang were talking last weekend about hosting a day battle (if i understood correctly) in kerrville on the first sunday of the month...pretty sure they're having one this weekend...might want to holler at 'em...i won't be making it this time, but i'm planning on heading out there soon...maybe we could all raid 'em...?

Raiding sounds great. Let us know when you all are heading out there and maybe we can get some numbers together and make it a Battle. We all in Texas need to start a Rag. type of event here in our own state.

I would just like to get this idea stirring in everyone's head again. I think a Dagorhir campout would be fun.

I think it would be a good idea. Would every one pay the own way into the park? A state park would be nice to do this at. However, the state parks might have a problem with the fighting. I like the sate park idea because they have cabins, I am a little old and kinda big to be sleeping in a tint.

Get a bigger tent Pluv. Also, if enough interest in this is generated, I am going to be calling around to try to find a campsite that will charge a flat rate and then just charge attendees a fee to come, like any other event. I will also be explaining the fighting and the safety information and such, I will be making mention that every player has signed a waiver and that the park will not be held responsible for any injuries that may occur. Anywho, that is my addition to the topic.
