Foamsmithing

Post  Diabolus Vile on Fri Sep 18, 2009 7:25 pm

Some samples I helped make with Casey last night. We dapped them and let them cure inside so when I got home after something like 4 hours of work I was exhaling the dap fume smell. T'was fun, if my classes ease up soon I might be able to get to practice soon.

Well I'm not quite sure. Maybe in October if not then in December. The classes I'm taking are giving me lots of work and it's a pain. Next semester though I'm almost positive the classes will be ten times easier so I'll have alot of time.

Are those like, scimitars? Or what?
The curved-tip ones, that is.

They're supposed to be like falchions or something used as a pair (duel wielding). We were joking that the small sword looked like the kokiri sword from Ocarina of Time and the larger one looked like the master sword. Now that I look back I can kinda see the resemblance but am just going to say we were high off the DAP fumes so our judgment might have been a bit impaired. bounce

Haha. What's on the handle? Is it oval? Roped? Or just bare?

The two similar swords used for duel wielding have a shaped handle to help the user know where the blades are facing. The two "zelda" swords just have round handles I think. I actually need to get ahold of Casey and ask him how things went with them.
